for Ages 10-14
Here’s your kid’s chance to make a summer blockbuster at the Neversink Valley Museum! Kids ages 10-14 will learn how to create a movie using a smartphone or an iPad at the Neversink Valley Museum of History and Innovation, on August 11-15, 2014, from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm. The fee for each session is $85 for museum members, $100 for non-museum members, which includes a 1-year membership.
Who hasn’t dreamed up a great story and wished that it could be a movie? We’ll take campers through the entire process of what goes into making a simple short movie, using a smartphone/iPad as the camera. Learn how to develop characters, write a script, draw up a storyboard and set up shots, shoot the movie and more. Participants need to bring their own smartphone/iPad (or share with a friend), and the iMovie app. A full week commitment is needed by participants due to the nature of the project.
Smartphone Summer Camp is open to all who like to write, are creative and not shy in front of a camera. The size of the camp is limited to 10 and is on a first-come, first-served basis.
